Why We Organized:  
New Horizon arose from the ashes of previous bass club failures. It's founders all had experienced the frustrations of clubs whose actions were contrary to their stated purposes; where meeting upon meeting was nothing more than arguments about rules, where member's abilities did not grow because no one would share knowledge, where winning (sometimes at any cost), was more important than fishing and having fun. New Horizon's founders knew that there was a better way. And they set about building an organization whose ideals and mission would be ensured by the very nature of the club's structure.

How We Function:  
Club operations are managed by four officers, elected by the membership: President, Tournament Director, Treasurer, Secretary . However, to ensure the club's mission continues to be fulfilled as explained, final authority and control of New Horizon Bass Anglers is vested in it's Board of Directors, which consists of four board members, and the current club president. The club's bylaws and tournament rules are fixed by the Board of Directors. They may, however, be amended by vote of the membership, after approval of the Board.
How We're Unique:  
At New Horizon Bass Anglers, we value our monthly meetings as special opportunities to socialize, share and learn. That's why official business is conducted at only one meeting per year. Further, because we recognize the importance of enjoyable, educational meetings, one of our Directors serves as Program Director, dedicated to bringing us the tops in speakers and presentations each month. Speakers are fishing guides, marine dealers, manufacturers' representatives and fisheries experts.
